With the view of reaching out to Children with Albinism in remote areas of Kenya, Dr Choksey Albinism Foundation reached out to both CBM ( Christian Blind Mission) on 19th October 2023 and KSB ( Kenya Society for the Blind ) on 26th October 2023.
With a mission of an inclusive world in which all persons with disabilities enjoy their human rights and achieve their full potential CBM has been working in Kenya since 1970.
Kenya Society for the blind is working towards promoting welfare, education, training and employment of the blind and assist in the prevention and alleviation of blindness in Kenya.
It was indeed an honor and privilege to be able to meet

Receiving “ Lifetime Achievement Award” from OSK Ophthalmological Society of Kenya during the COECSA College of Ophthalmology East Central and Southern Africa Conferance in Mombasa Kenya on 24th August 2023 is indeed a dream come true for Dr. Prabha Choksey, the founder of Dr Choksey Albinism Foundation!
It has been an amazing journey for her an Indian woman Ophthalmologist coming to Kenya in 1987 and finding the purpose of her life to reach out to the Albino Children of Africa.

Hindu Council holds Talent Show for Albinism Children
Celebrating International Albinism Awareness Day 2023 the Womens Directorate of Hindu Council of Kenya with Dr Choksey Albinism Foundation organized a Talent Show for Children and Young Adults with Albinism on 15th July 2023. It was a glittering function with Singing Dancing Cake Cutting and a grand Fashion Show with models displaying Fashionable Dresses courtesy Fashion Designer @ Shainu Hooda for women and Lavis International for men. The Chief guest of the function was Fr. Joseph Mutie, Chairman of Inter-religious Council of Kenya and guest of honor was Lady Justice Mumbi Ngugi.

This year’s International Albinism Awareness Day was marked with pomp & color. Themed “Inclusion is strength”, the day was celebrated with processions & entertainment at Kwale Cultural Centre in Kenya. Dr Choksey Albinism Foundation was part of the event!
National Council for Persons with Disabilities launched the Ustawi Education Scholarship at the University of Nairobi, in an event that brought together various stakeholders including Cabinet Secretary Hon Florence Bore, Hon Issaac Mwaura, and Mr Harun Hassan executive director NCPWD. Dr Choksey Albinism Foundation was invited to participate in the launch.
Dr Choksey Albinism Foundation forging new partnerships with Dr Frederick Kipkoech Korir, the chairman of Ophthalmological Society of Kenya – OSK
Women Othalmologists Worlwide (WOW) recently organized an international conference, bringing together female eye doctors from around the country to discuss advancements in eye care and address issues faced by women in the field as the world marked International Women’s Day.
Dr. Choksey Albinism Foundation website is now launched. The site was launched recently during the just concluded International Women’s Day 2023 celebrations held at Lions Sight First Eye Hospital.
Taking a step to reach out to children with Albinism in different counties of Kenya, Dr. Prabah Choksey held a meeting with Mr. Harrun Hassan, the CEO of National Council for Persons with Disabilities – NCPWD, on 29th March 2023.
The partnership between NCBA bank and Dr. Choksey Albinism Foundation has transformed the lives of hundreds of children with Albinism thorugh the educational support since 2015.
